Welcome to the Georgia Aircraft Modelers Association, Inc. Web Site|
"The purpose of the Georgia
Inc., hereafter called GAMA,
is to foster and advance interest and fellowship of its members in the hobby of
building and flying radio control & control line aircraft, to encourage the
study and discussion of problems and techniques involved with flying radio
control & control line aircraft, to encourage interest in this hobby
in non-members, and to provide a meeting place and a flying site or sites
for members of the association."
Our web site was designed to accommodate our members as well as those of you
that are interested in becoming involved in the hobby of flying Radio Control
and Control Line Aircraft. How do I get started is the first
question asked about this hobby. We hope this site answers this question
as well as many others you may have.

Our Flying Site in Fort Valley, Georgia
We have an awesome flying site in Fort Valley, Georgia with a 650 x 300 foot runway. It is kept in imaculate condition ready for you to fly anytime you arrive at the field year round. Site grooming is usually done on Thursday mornings so you might want to delay your arrival until around 11:00 A.M. on Thursdays.
We do have one restriction at our field on Sunday mornings. No flying is permitted with gas or glow fueled aircraft until noon. Electrics are fine anytime. Some of our neighbors like to sleep in on Sundays and asked us if we could curtail noisy aircraft on Sundays until noon. In keeping with good relations with our nearby neighbors we complied and have been doing so for many years.
The pecan trees that are a backdrop for our flying site is on privately owned land and the pecans are a cash crop for the landowner. At no time is it accepatable to gather pecans from that property. You can go into that area to retrieve an aircraft if necessary, otherwise stay out.
